The Securities Commision (SC) in Malaysia will soon announce the establishment of the first Islamic Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) .

The SC chairman Datuk Zarinah Anwar announced that the REITs will provide another vehicle for foreign investors whishing to to invest in  syariah-compliant products in Malaysia.

Other Islamic investment products currently available in Malaysia include Islamic products include syariah-compliant stocks, sukuk bonds, Islamic structured products and Islamic unit trust funds.
